We already explain how to make sushi rice and we’re now ready to begin to make a sushi roll. But first you need a bamboo mat, nori and the ingredients that you will use for the filling. You have to remember that you can use anything for filling the sushi. Many people think that sushi is uncooked fish but that is false, sushi is rice with vinegar. It’s true that sushi with rare fish can taste delicious but many people fear to use rare fish and prefer to cook or use other things. When my budget is low I use can food.
My favorite sushi is spicy shrimp and that is the receipt I will follow in this post. For a spicy shrimp roll you need shrimp, sriracha , mayo and avocado. I cook the shrimp and cut them in little pieces and then add the sriracha sauce. After finishing the shrimp I add mayo to the mix. Later we will take the nori and cut in half. Before taking sushi rice is recommended to wet our hands with sushi vinegar because the rice is very sticky. Then we will take rice with the size of a ball and cover the nori. We have to spread the rice the thickest possible. We have to leave a space without rice. Then we will add the fillings in the middle of the rice part, then we will roll the mat until the part that have not rice. You have to make sure that you’re holding the mat even. Then you will make step back with the roll and then continue rolling until you cover all the nori. Then you will cut the sushi in 6 pieces or 8 pieces.
If you will add more than 2 filling you will have to cut the nori in a bigger piece because with only half sheet you will not be able to cover all the sushi. If you notice making sushi is not a science however to prepare a quality sushi you need practice and patience. Be sure to follow every step and you will succeed in your quest to making sushi.
